The Heart Wall®

You’ll never find peace of mind until you listen to your heart

This quote by George Michael speaks to

the idea that true contentment and inner peace can only be achieved when you pay attention to your innermost feelings and desires. It’s a reminder that our hearts hold valuable insights, guiding us toward authenticity and fulfilment.

Do you feel you struggle to open up to the people around you, as though something holds you back from fully connecting with others?

If so, you may have a Heart Wall...

  • Relationships with family, friends, and colleagues can be complex and sometimes painful. Whether it’s intentional or as a result of association you may have encountered Heartache.

  • Heartache refers to deep emotional pain, sorrow, or distress that one experiences, particularly in matters of the heart or significant emotional connections.

  • This is often felt as a sensation of pressure or discomfort in the chest and throat and the ache you feel when love is lost or when grief overwhelms. If you have encountered heartache repeatedly, your subconscious mind may form an “energy wall” to protect your heart against further heartache. Although this can be helpful in the short term, this inhibits the ability to feel positive emotions like love and joy.

  • A Heart Wall is made of one or more trapped emotions that the subconscious mind uses to surround the heart as a protective barrier against emotional pain and heartache. The frequencies of these trapped emotions are wrapped layer by layer around the heart and can be released with ease using proven methods.

  • These emotions can be any of the emotions listed on the Emotion Code® Chart and through experience the key layers typically include: Love Unreceived, Anxiety, Resentment, Peeved, Overwhelm, Effort Unreceived, Heartache, Vulnerability, Failure, Grief, Stubbornness, Taken for Granted, Unsupported, Unworthy and Worthless.

How do I know if I have a Heart Wall?

Anyone, at any age can have a Heart Wall and layers can be added any moment as negative situations are experienced. If you answer yes to one or more of the following questions, you may have an energetic Heart Wall:

  • Have you experienced lots of heavy emotions in the past?
  • Have you struggled to fully experience joy or happiness?
  • Do you find it challenging to connect with others?
  • Do you feel closed off to love?
  • Do you often feel lonely or isolated?
  • Do you feel an emotional heaviness in your heart?
  • Do you experience discomfort in your chest, neck, or shoulders?

How can a Heart Wall affect your life?

  • While the construction of a Heart Wall shields you from negativity and bad feelings, as it grows, it slows the flow of love and compassion, leaving the person feeling withdrawn and finding it harder to connect with others and experience genuine emotions.
  • When you have a Heart Wall you can lose your intuitive connection, feel disconnected and lack empathy.
  • It can contribute to physical issues such as neck, shoulder or chest discomfort, fatigue and respiratory issues.
  • It can leave you desensitised to emotions, creating disconnection from others.
  • A Heart Wall can also make it harder to feel positive because you have negative emotional energy around your heart all the time.

What are the benefits of removing a Heart Wall?

By removing the Heart Wall you may experience the following:

  • Changes to the energy around you and the energy you attract
  • Ability to create deeper connections
  • Strengthened existing relationships
  • Feel better physically and mentally (heart-brain coherence)
  • Feel calmer and more confident
  • More open to new possibilities

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions needed to release a Heart Wall can vary based on individual circumstances. Generally, people have between 5 and 25 Trapped Emotions layered around their heart, but it’s not uncommon to have more.

During an Emotion Code session, you can identify and release about five to ten trapped emotions in a thirty minute session. However, your body’s response may vary, and sometimes it might allow for only two or three emotions to be released in a single session. In this case a series of sessions over several days or weeks is required.

Intentional practices that connect you with your heart

Here are several ways to infuse your daily routine with heart centred energy:

  • Heart-Centered Meditation: Heart-centered meditation is a beautiful practice that allows you to tap into your inner wisdom and compassion. Dedicate time each day to connect with your heart’s intelligence. Sit quietly, focus on your heart, and breathe deeply. Imagine love and compassion flowing in and out of your heart. Feel gratitude and forgiveness toward yourself and others.

  • Mindfulness Throughout the Day: Mindfulness throughout the day can significantly enhance our well-being and deepen our connection to the present moment. Bring conscious awareness to each moment by being fully present and listening fully and engaging with an open heart. When faced with a situation, pause before reacting. By taking a moment to observe, you can respond more intentionally rather than impulsively.

  • Self-Compassion: Treat yourself with the same kindness and understanding you would offer to a friend. Acknowledge your imperfections without judgment. Remember that everyone faces challenges and struggles and you are not alone in your experiences. We all have moments of difficulty, and its part of being human. Be aware of your thoughts and emotions without getting entangled in self-criticism. Observe them with curiosity and compassion.

  • Self-Care: Cultivate a loving relationship with yourself and prioritize self-care activities that replenish your energy and honour your well-being. Prioritise quality sleep, express yourself through a creative outlet, spend time with connections and set healthy boundaries to protect your energy are a few suggestions.

  • Live with Intention each day: When we consciously choose to align our actions with our core values and purpose, it brings clarity and fulfilment to our daily lives. Small actions contribute to the bigger picture and living intentionally is an ongoing practice. It’s okay to make adjustments along the way.

  • Practice Gratitude: Before getting out of bed, think of three things you are thankful for because this shifts your focus from lack and sets a positive tone for the day ahead benefiting your heart energy. This could be as simple as waking up in a warm bed, noticing the sun shining, appreciating another person or the taste of your favourite meal. Gratitude is not just about saying “thank you” it is about truly feeling appreciation in your heart.

  • Connect with Nature: Spending time outdoors, appreciating the beauty of the natural world helps to open our hearts and ground our energy. This could be in the form of walking outside, witnessing a sunset, stargazing, listening to the waves at the beach and gardening or if you cannot get outside, listen to recordings of nature sounds.

  • Acts of Kindness and Compassion: Acts of kindness and compassion have a profound impact, not only on others but also on our own well-being. This could be sharing a genuine smile, or holding the door open for someone which shows consideration, active listening, helping a stranger, expressing gratitude or providing someone your unconditional time.

  • Practice Forgiveness: Forgiveness is a powerful act of self-love and liberation. By releasing past hurts and emotional weight, we create space and free your heart energy. Forgiveness is about choosing to let go of those feelings and thoughts. It doesn’t mean being OK with what happened. Instead, choosing to forgive is about making a conscious decision to move forward and letting go of the discomfort.

  • Movement: Engaging in physical activities like walking, dancing, and practicing yoga all contribute to physical fitness and mental health. Benefits include improved circulation, boosts energy, endorphin release and reduces stress.

  • Heart-Healthy Foods: Including heart-healthy foods in your diet is a great way to support cardiovascular health. Some top foods to consider: Leafy green vegetables (spinach, kale, and collard greens), Berries (strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries), Fatty Fish (salmon, tuna, and mackerel), Nuts (walnuts, almonds), Avocados and Garlic.
